In accordance the Local Authorities (Standing Orders) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2014, voting on this item was recorded. The detail of the recorded vote is contained in minute 398 above. The motion was CARRIED and it was

RESOLVED –

(i)            the general fund budget for 2018/19 and 2019/20 be approved;

(ii)           the special expenses area budget for 2018/19 and 2019/20 be approved;

(iii)          the movement in general fund reserves and balances for 2018/19 and 2019/20 be approved.

To present the 2019/20 general fund revenue budget.

The Scrutiny Commission gave consideration to the general fund revenue budget for 2019/20. The following points were noted:

·         Pressures included payroll and planning fee income

·         Legal expenditure was predicted to reduce

·         The impact of leaving the European Union had been taken into account via the fair funding predictions

·         Leicestershire County Council would be ceasing council tax support assistance.

RESOLVED – the report be noted.
