It was moved by Councillor Nichols, seconded by Councillor Pendlebury and

 

RESOLVED – the minutes of the meeting held on 21 September 2022 be confirmed and signed by the chairman.

To receive verbally from Members any disclosures which they are required to make in accordance with the Council’s Code of Conduct or in pursuance of Section 106 of the Local Government Finance Act 1992. This is in addition to the need for such disclosure to be also given when the relevant matter is reached on the agenda.

Support funding for implementation of Hinckley wayfinding strategy pdf icon PDF 630 KB

To request funding for implementation of the wayfinding strategy.

Minutes:

Consideration was given to a request for funding for implementation of the Hinckley wayfinding strategy. It was noted that the signs would not be electronic and would also be easily updatable. They would point to key locations and attractions, including the cinema.

 

It was moved by Councillor Nichols, seconded by Councillor Cope and

 

RESOLVED – the request for funding be endorsed.

Support Funding for Proms in the Park 2023 pdf icon PDF 684 KB

To request funding for Proms in the Park on Saturday, 10 June 2023.

Minutes:

Members received a report requesting funding to host Proms in the Park 2023. It was noted that lessons had been learnt following the busy event in 2022. Members were pleased to see the event returning this year. During discussion, the following suggestions for raising income were made:

 

·         Creating and selling programmes for the event

·         Selling spaces to food vendors.

 

It was moved by Councillor M Mullaney, seconded by Councillor Bill and

 

RESOLVED – the request for funding be endorsed.

Hinckley Area Committee budget 2023/24 pdf icon PDF 274 KB

To present the proposed draft revenue budget and council tax for 2023/24 for the special expenses area of Hinckley.

The revenue budget and council tax for the Hinckley area was presented to the committee. Members discussed green space schemes and the potential to undertake improvements to green spaces over the next three to four years. It was moved by Councillor Pendlebury, seconded by Councillor Lynch and
