Apologies and substitutions

Minutes:

Apologies were submitted on behalf of Councillor Nichols, with the substitution of Councillor Bray.

On the motion of Cllr Witherford, seconded by Cllr Gould, it was decided

 

RESOLVED – that Councillor Bray act as Chairman for this meeting.

 

Apologies were also submitted from Councillor Hulbert, with the substitution of Councillor Moore, Councillor Cartwright with the substitution of Councillor Witherford.

Apologies were also submitted for Councillor Batty, Councillor O’Shea and Councillor Richards.

All substitutions were authorised in accordance with Council Procedure Rule 4.1.

Declarations of interest

To receive verbally from Members any disclosures which they are required to make in accordance with the Council’s Code of Conduct or in pursuance of Section 106 of the Local Government Finance Act 1992. This is in addition to the need for such disclosure to be also given when the relevant matter is reached on the agenda.

Re-adoption of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 pdf icon PDF 47 KB

Minutes:

Members were advised of the proposal to readopt the provisions of Part II of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 within the borough of Hinckley and Bosworth.

Members were asked to recommend to the Executive that the Principal Licensing Officer be authorised to provide notice, in accordance with section 45 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 (“the 1976”), of the council’s intention to pass a resolution to adopt the provisions of Part II of the 1976 Act in relation to the council’s administrative area.

On the motion of Cllr Witherford, seconded by Cllr Gould, it was

 

RESOLVED – that it be recommended to the Executive that the Principal Licensing Officer be authorised to give the appropriate notices pursuant to the section 45 of the 1976 Act.
