Awarding of green waste disposal contract for disposal of green waste collected from households, found in fly tips, and arising from the maintenance of HBBC-owned green spaces.
To award the green waste disposal contract to J&F Powners, Aston Flamville, Leicestershire, for a term of five years plus two years.
Joint tender was run between Blaby District Council, Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council and Leicestershire County Council supported by the Welland Procurement Partnership. Following evaluation of tender responses by all councils, the contract was awarded to J&F Powner.
Other bidders failed to meet the tonnage requirements needed, didn’t have correct permissions in place or scored less as part of the tender evaluation process.
