Determination of application for road closure from the Quorn Hunt for the Boxing Day meet on 26 December 2024 in Market Bosworth. Matters for consideration extend only to temporary closure of the roads listed (Station Road from the junction of Park Street to Market Place, and Market Place (public highway)).
Decision:
That the road closure be made under the Town Police Clauses Act 1847.
Reasons for the decision:
No objections have been received from standard consultees – in particular LCC Highways and Leicestershire Police.
The conditions are in place to mitigate any highway impact and from a highways point of view there are no reasons to refuse permission.
Alternative options considered:
Alternative options considered included refusing the application, however there were no grounds to do so under S21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847.
