To present the Statement of Licensing Policy for approval.

The statement of licensing policy was presented to Council. Members asked questions in relation to the saturation area and risk of discouraging a strong night time economy and the late night levy. It was moved by Councillor Cartwright, seconded by Councillor Glenville and unanimously

RESOLVED – the licensing policy be adopted by the Council.

This report provides members with information on the Statement of Licensing Policy required under the Licensing Act 2003

Consideration was given to the Statement of Licensing Policy.  It was noted that three new sections had been included within the policy under the Prevention of Crime and Disorder these were drink spiking, ask Angela and advice on Martyn’s Law (counter terrorism).

In response to questions from members, officers confirmed that when the Government reform consultation came out on fees and charges their views would be sought on the response from HBBC.

It was moved by Councillor Cartwright, seconded by Councillor Mullaney and
