Councillor Taylor proposed that the application be refused. In the absence of a seconder, the motion was not pursued.

 

It was moved by Councillor Sutton, seconded by Councillor Crooks and

 

RESOLVED – permission be granted subject to the conditions outlined in the officer’s report.

Notwithstanding the officer’s recommendation that permission be granted, Councillor Taylor proposed that the application be refused. In the absence of a seconder, the motion was not put.

 

Councillor Boothby, seconded by Councillor Roberts, proposed that the application be deferred to allow for consideration of amended plans following the applicant’s indication that he would be willing to amend the roofline of the proposed extension. Upon being put to the vote, the motion was CARRIED and it was

 

RESOLVED – the application be deferred to give consideration to amended plans.

Councillor Wright entered the meeting at 6.42pm.

 

Members felt that viewing the site would enable them to make a fully informed decision and it was moved by Councillor Taylor and seconded by Councillor Witherford that the application be deferred for a site visit. Upon being put to the vote, the motion was carried and it was

 

RESOLVED – the application be deferred for a site visit.

 

Councillor Wright wished it to be recorded that she abstained from voting on this item due to entering the meeting whilst it was in progress and therefore not having heard the entire debate.
