Consultation process
At Council on 8 July, the senior management capacity review was approved. The Chief Executive in consultation with the Leader was given delegated authority to appoint a Deputy Chief Executive, including approving the job description and person specification.
A robust application and interview process was held following 8 July. In accordance with Council’s resolution, the Leader and Deputy Leader of Council and the Leader of the Opposition sat on the appointment panel. The decision to appoint was unanimous.
