On the motion of Mr Cope, seconded by Mr Mullaney it was

 

RESOLVED – the minutes of the meeting held on 12 October 2011 be confirmed and signed by the Chairman.

DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

To receive verbally from Members any disclosures which they are required to make in accordance with the Council’s code of conduct or in pursuance of Section 106 of the Local Government Finance Act 1992.  This is in addition to the need for such disclosure to be also given when the relevant matter is reached on the agenda.

Members were asked to review and approve the updates to the Environmental Health General Enforcement Policy.

 

On the motion of Mr Cope, seconded by Mr Mullaney it was

 

RESOLVED – the Environmental Health General Enforcement Policy 2011 report be approved.

Executive were asked to agree the comments made by officers and members of the Licensing Regulatory Committee on the Department for Culture Media & Sport (DCMS) proposal to deregulate Schedule 1 of the Licensing Act 2003 as detailed in Appendix 1 to the report.

 

Members asked that the Chief Executive present the Council’s concerns to the next meeting of the District Councils Network (DCN).

 

On the motion of Mr Cope, seconded by Mr Mullaney it was

 

RESOLVED

 

(i)         the Chief Executive put forward the Council’s concerns to the next meeting of the DCN; and

 

(ii)        Executive agree the comments as detailed in Appendix 1 to the report.

Members’ views were sought on the Green Wedge Review.  An addendum to the report was presented to Members highlighting amendments to the review arising from the Glenfield Park planning appeal.
